hey...was channel surfing on saturday ..as ya do...and came across a programme called 'Being Eve'..and waddaya know - Fries with that suddenly features in a scene!!! woohooo go Jester!!. Did anybody else spot it?? There was other kiwi music as well i think, but the damn credits flew by so fast i didnt catch who they were...only recognised jester..i'll be checking it out next saturday for sure! i think it was tv3 at 7pm.

I Love the song FRIES WITH THAT it's a beautiful warm song it's one of my favourite songs ever. The video is really simple but it's got a bit of heart to it. Dont really know jester too well apart from that.

Has anyone heard the new single Enemy? Heard it on channel Z this morning. Pretty loud! not like the old Jester stuff...but still very cool! The acoustic stuff in the verses keeps it real!

Farewell Mary Anne Te Hei Merriman 1919 - 2002

For those of you who have seen the video for the Jester song 'Fries with that', you'll be saddened to hear that the star of that video Mary Anne Te Hei Merriman passed away on Tuesday night. The video which featured on New Zealand Music.com's home page for a while, showed Mary busking on the waterfront of Mission Bay with her Accordian.

Although she earned a tiny bit of recognition for being in the video, she was already world famous in her home town of Tauranga for busking with her accordian in the main street, and for being the loving Grandmother of Jesters Bassist Mark Grimes - her biggest fan.

Jester farewells Mary and extends sympathy to Mark, whanau and friends she leaves behind.The funeral is to be held at the Oropi Hall in Tauranga, 1pm Saturday 2 November.

Jester...you guys rock. To be honest, and I know you don't mind my honesty...I never liked your music, but you were wicked on Saturday night and now I can say I do like your music!! Thank you for playing at the Civic and helping to devour too many pizzas...stace
