Oh, and just to spam my topic, I have a little story that I am reminded of by this little website . . .

I went to a party on the North Shore a few years back, y'know, before the America's Cup challenge or whatever the fuck that is? Well anywizz, this guy pulls out an acoustic guitar and announces that he's gonna play some songs. One munter there turned around and said loudly: "Fuck I hope he plays the song he wrote about Team New Zealand, it's gonna be THE THEME SONG to the next America's Cup challenge". He was serious.

So anywizz, this guy starts singing this song, in a Nickelback kinda voice, and the lyrics went:

"We are Aotearoa
We are Team New Zealand
We will fight until the end" and so on, you get the picture . . ."

He was dead fucking serious. He was evening singing in falsetto for the "We are" bit, before going into that Nickelback growly low voice for the "Aotearoa" part. It even had an extended (probably designed to fade out) chorus at the end.

Everyone was into it! They even thought I was an asshole for pretty much pissing myself with laughter. . .

Of course, it was old Dobbo who got the "official theme song of the America's Cup" with "Loyal". Poor Nickelback-sounding-guy . . . .

True fucking story. I shit you not. . .

That'll teach me for going to a North Shore party.
