I remember seeing Rikki Morris when I was about 10 years old, sing with When the Cats away in Tauranga. Back in the day I though he was a bit of a hot man, - if I remember rightly he did a bit of a stint on 345 live after school - what's happened to this guy eh?
"I remember" seeing his clips on RTR aaaaagggggeeessss ago on RTR(?). A side shot of his face singing something along the lines of "The purpose of a man is to love a woman, and the purpose of a woman is to love a man..." and so on, so on. I know he married that chick Debbie/Deborah from When the Cats away. An dIm sure I seen him do that show a couple of years back where they take people wanting to be singers and do a song and clip for them. Cant remember what it was called though.........um......
The song "Game of Love" (the lyrcs to which you've quoted above) was actually covered by Ian Morris (aka Tex Pistol), Rikki's brother. The video you're thinking about was for a song called 'Nobody Else'. I think.
Rikki used to host 3.45 Live! back in the day - he was the best thing about the show (I remember they had a reeeeaaallly boring tv show about a horse - probably Black Beauty or something). He recently hosted the show Get Your Act Together, which was pretty cool and had some great potential on it.... I've noticed one of the girls has joined Fiona McDonalds posse possibly as a result of the show!
Rikki is married/separted to Debbie Harwood and Rikki's brother Ian is married/partner of Kim Willoughby who was also in When the Cats Away.
I reakon the Rikki Morris is a brilliant talent that we have lost in the pile of wanna be stars..... such a pity.
Aha...true true. Now I remember...I didn't even know he had a brother. Did they look the same? I remembered "Nobody Else" But for some reason I couldn't remember the words. I was young at the time. I was probably making up my own words...
Yeah, pretty similar looking lads: Ian was a bit older and crustier (he was also in Dave Dobbyn's old band Th' Dudes, I recall). Rikki had that clean-cut Bros look going on...
