no cassette updates on here for a while i can't help but notice. i can happily report that the band have been playing a little bit round melbourne town, including two shows at a nicely sold-out hi-fi bar in the city, in support of the recently quiet tism. interesting crowd reaction, sure, but you can't account for a tism crowd: i don't even think they 'get' the band they're there to see, let alone the support acts.
so... Goodshirt are playing at the Kings Arms next thursday and it lists Cassette as support.. are the guys back in NZ??? I am SO excited by the prospect of live Cassette!!!

Really enjoyed the set last night - my first time with the live experience - diggin' it! Like a big ol' family reunion. Yous can play your instruments good.
Paul was great, they were all outstanding! Excellent night. No complaints, not once the lighting man had stopped shining his lights into everyone's eyes, anyway.
It was great to finally get a glimpse of cassette lucky old melbourne my only criticism is that wellington audiences know paul trigg is capable of a lot more dare i say i missed the noddling guitar sound, the distinct kiwi vernacular, breaking loose of the bloody chorus verse chorus noose of paul's genius cassette is a great band and vehicle for tom's talents but i don't see paul fully stretched in this band...yet
Cassette are mixing the album as I write this so as soon as that comes out they will be all over you like a rash ( pick your own rash ) the cassette website is going through an overhall but will be a going and regularly updated concern asap so check that out for gigs and stuff, sweet!
