Audioscrobbler

I don't know if this has been posted here before but I thought it might be of interest to the types of people who frequent these boards.

Audioscrobbler.com - basically it's a site which compiles individual charts of your listening habits via the ID3 tag of files played on your PC (via a plug in for your media player). It only works from the ID3 tag so doesn't register wether the track is from an original source or from an mp3 (for those worried about being ID'd). Additionally no email address is required, so it can be totally anon if you want.

On a weekly basis it compiles a chart of both artists and invidual tracks. You can also join a group and have your stats included in the group charts.

It's free too.

Here's an example using my profile...

Anyway thought people might be interested - if someone starts a NZMusic group then let me know and I'll join it...

Forums: The Bar,

Oh yeah it's also total open source and free of spyware - read the FAQ on the site.

...

heh.

Ahhh fair enough - as I said I wasn't sure if it had already been posted (and too lazy to use the search function)...

Still I like it (even if my bandwidth doesn't)

...

Right so now I'm feeling a little stupid... oh well at least I'm stupid at work :-)
