last time i talked about bands in Wellington, umm..2-3 years ago and using the word "big". I got myself in a whole heap of trouble with "Stinkbuzz". I'm not prepared to go down that road again. I've learnt my lesson.

Im not sure if you had retracted that statement. But if you were a working musician you would know we are all broke most of the time, unless the band has magically payed back their record company, for recording, printing, pressing and promotion ect. That can take years, and years, and years, and years, and years berfore a band actually MAKES money. aaaanyway

jon has a wife, daughter and house in brooklyn.
being an 'international band' (which in my opinion could just constitute being big), based in more than one place often makes more sense. especially when your demand is touring everywhere.
shihad has been wellingtons biggest bands for ten years.
that is my opinion and i have a right to it.

biggest? Phoenix Foundation's new album will be huge. But wellington has such a huge number of exciting new bands- Dukes of liesure, tunnel to the sun, Charlie Ash, Disasteradio, connan and the moccasins, the inkling- they're all doing something good + original, and not apologising for not being dub bands and they all deserve to be supported when they play live... and yay for blink... and capital recordings... ii'm actually excited about wellington's music scene again....
