I haven't ever posted here before - just keep an eye on the threads from time-to-time but I heard from J who's a good mate and the guitarist from this band last week and he's keen to get some awareness here and should be sending some CD's over soon hopefully!! It sounds like they're doing really well for an NZ band in a different country. If anyone remembers these boys from Napier, Hawkes Bay who played in Orange (Republic) - semi-finalists in the 2003 (?) Acid-Test Songwriting contest in Akld or Tid or even 'Mokwai Saga' or 'The Johnstons' (covers) will know these boys. Very passionate musicians and bloody good guys. I know everyone who knows people in bands says that but... ah well. Please do check out the website - http://www.thecomedowns.com - and feel free to "sign" the guestbook. By the looks of it, creative license is very free. The single sounds good if you're into the punk/rock style of music - I don't really know other bands that it sounds like but, as with any music, everyone has their own opinion anyway!
