so whats everyone doing this year?

me, im doing a BA. no, not because im stupid and cant get into a more challenging course. well, its not the main reason. anyway, i was wondering what everyone else round 'eres up to. (im bored and have nothing better to do)

Forums: The Bar,

(and because im bored with all the 'top ten female ........ in nz forums, no offence)

I'm going wherever the wind takes me.

(I have no idea.)

Just a fool to believe I have anything he needs

scr's like the wind... in my trees

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice, Jet (if that is your real name!). Nobody puts scr in a corner.

I'm taking this whole forum back to '87, "Joanna".

Rock! I'll break out my snap bands.

Wow, snap bands didn't make it to Wanganui until 1992. You are so trendy.

Yeah I started and I started namedropping in 1991 when I served dinner to the future prime minister of Japan.

!!

Ha. Snap bands. I remember them trying to tell us they were dangerous because if the fabric came off they would SLIT YOUR WRISTS.

But I lived on the edge.

Trying to control me... ... like banning kids from eating raro straight from the sachet... .... and jelly crystals..

I just drank a blended mix of evil on cow tv in attempt to become the host for this year - I am now very seriously ill

Heaps!
-Finding out what I want to do for a career, looking at taking some courses etc
-Learning to use Sonar 4 and getting some f'n songs out of my head
-Recording with the band I've joined over a long weekend in a French Château (!)
-Watching the U2 concert in Dublin
-Berlin, Krakow, Prague, Turkey tour, Cairo, Rome, all sorts of odd trips throughout Europe...
-Buying a new speaker for my amp (and fixing the broken reverb, and getting a longer cable for the footswitch and a firewire audio interface for the laptop and and and and ...)
-Trying to save a little money somehow, don't know how yet... maybe don't spend as much on music gear... naaaaaahhh!
-Oh I don't know, allsorts...

With work I intend to do as I did last year .. not alot, or less than that if I can .. as for everything else, I'll keep it pretty much the same, going out to varoius gig's, hanging with my mates, no travel untill about christmas when I'm off to Hawai for a week or so then back home to NZ for about three weeks for christmas and the new year ..

By night, hedonist name-dropper

By June, in a new job/new city - fingers crossed

//By night, hedonist name-dropper

Wow, it's only February and you've already mastered that part!

I do my best.

So - is this part of the northward drift, or are you going offshore or going to completely buck all trands and come south? Good luck with it.

I'm keen to drift northward. I enjoyed the South Island for five years already, and I've never lived north of Wanganui. (Oh apart from Denmark.) Must rectify. I'm thinking maybe Hamilton.

Ha!

That was a joke, okay??

science. although hopefully moving on to doing some research in new and exciting areas.

// new and exciting areas

don't you mean 'new and intoxicating areas'?

the intoxication is merely a convenient by-product.... which of course has nothing to do with my base motivation. After all, as rdor would say, science is purely objective...

I hope you like doing those damn spectrometer thingies in the lab then. They are fun.....

I haven't had to do any of that since 6th form.... although there's a tiny chance that I might get to play with some data that someone else collected from such this year.

Sleeping, hopefully. Waiting for seasons five of The Gilmore Girls and Angel. Hoping that they'll make a sequel to The Insiders Guide to Happiness and put an apostrophe in it this time. Getting scratched up some more by my cat. Trying to find the perfect under $10 wine.

When you find the wine post it on here....definatley a need to know

i'm waiting for the re-runs of season 4 of gilmore girls to be on tv and/or the dvd sets to be released here.

pursuing Teh Tao of Corkboard

...and it's working!

Don't forget you're also finding me a husband this year, Heather.

What are the benefits like?

Well scr, in return for providing support, sustenance, protection and *coff* intimacy, you get a free set of steak knives, and *coff* intimacy. Also Joanna is very good at talking dirty, thinking dirty, acting dirty, and CD compilations.

//a free set of steak knives

ginsu steak knives?

nice necklace

Thanks, my great aunt picked it up when she was working as a missionary in Nepal.

I'll be doing a couple more papers and working two part time jobs in the university. This will be my 8th year studying or working at the university. Somebody kill me now.

I'm doing same old, trying to get Amperzahn off the ground, trying to find time when we're all free to practice, trying to get us some money to record. It's possibly a lost cause, but I have nothing better to do.

after 4yrs I'm back on the music course, weird didn't think I would be there again, I start tomorrow..........

I seem to be beyond the point of considering my life in neat 365-day-long chunks.

I will still be working fulltime as a librarian in Winton, and hope to still be doing that for many years to cme. Will be at SIT one day a week, doing a paper in the Bachelor of Information Technology course.

aim for the stars tahii. i reckon you can get to invercargill library one day.

I will be adding another string to my bow of "helping the hopeless, dejected, and down trodden"..(possibly why I still lurk round on nzm)..anyway I have just lined up some hours tutoring refugee families in the English... spoken, not written, that would be just mean.
Sorry it's still all unpaid, so i will continue to rely on the kindess of strangers, to keep me and my familiy in the "poverty" we have become accoustomed

Once i get all my medical problems sorted, i've gotta locate a job. I had to leave my last one because of medical bullshit.

This year I will graduate. (i hope) 5 tertiary years is too long for study without a break from leaving high school.

I hope to see more good bands than I saw last year

//5 tertiary years is too long for study without a break from leaving high school.

*cough* *cough* 5 years is nothing haha.

second that

Doing a BA doesn't make you stupid unless you're doing one because you felt like you had to go to university and you don't really give a shit about the subjects you're taking.

On that note.. I WORK FOR WINZ... and I'm slowly but surely paying off my student loan... ... because I went to university once... and got a BA..

*sigh*
