Hey, am an English indie girl who is moving to Wellington to go to uni. am really wanting to know about the indie scene wellington...are there good indie clubs, pubs, gigs? music scene kind of dominates social life in england so want to know places to go and dance and listening to amazin music.

Bar Bodega, The Valve and Indigo are probably your best bet (for venues that have good bands that is).
And my favourite Wellington indie band is Phoenix Foundation, you should check them out.
And and and The Low Hum tours are alwasy worthwhile as well (regular tours with bunch of new and wicked bands). Assuming trhat's happening in 2005...?

..and lets not forget great wellington bands like "the Rod Johnson Experience". You can always catch bands at the Eastside Bar which is in Uni, but I reccomend sex at Te Papa.

I'm aiming for the first tour to be March. Not passing through nelson that time, thinking about maybe trying Oamaru, if i can. But april I reckon I'll be there.
