ugh, I hope it works out for him and its not just to let him see his dream of being a cricketer once again. To be fair though, he is a good fielder and has bowled well, hes pretty quick too, but if we need the job of a fast medium bowler we have tuffy and cairns who are experienced at international level, we should be developing a tear away.
wilsons batting is okay, but not against top line attacks, hes a bit hot and cold I think. But then again hes still one of or the most talented new zealand sportsman, so full credit to him.
Yeah its pretty crazy aye - these world XI matches are gonna kickass. I do like a spectacle! No matter what the outcome of these games, the series is going to be full of drama.

just to let you know that butler was not considered for selection due to a back injury - he wasn't dropped.
Bracewell said that they see him as a dynamic sort of player - one who can turn matches. muich the same as Dion Nash. I hope it all goes well for him. i guess hes just another good reason why we should all be going to the world 11 cricket matches
yeah injury was the reason he wasnt up for selection otherwise you gota believe he would bein the squad,
i think its good wilson won otago cricketer of the year ( correct me if im wrong) so its not like hes just been put in there on passed reputations,
ian butler is still to erratic though, his action needs alot of work to get his placement of the ball 100% accurate or atlast 80% accurate, that is what will stop him from breaking through and being a regular in the ODI side
At least Butler is only 22 - but I mean, but if they get on to it, he could be around for 10 years and be one of NZs all time wicket takers. All too many kiwi cricketers come into the side in the late 20s and retire just as they're getting good.
