I go to lots of shows. Doesn't mean they're my favourite band... Nor do I own any of their cds. I also see a lot of bands live and not own any of their music.

You may wanna re-read my posts. I never complained about Aliens non-attendance at this gig, nor did I say money grows on trees(I work for my money too, by the way). All I did was say it seems a little unfair to complain(and in my opinion, Alien was complaining) about the lateness of the advertising of the gig. Alien does have a point that $35 is a bit expensive(which I agreed with), especially due to the short notice of the gig around the time of xmas/BDO/plenty of other international and local gigs (which I also agree with, but to a lesser degree)
And yes I did appolgise to Alien(I can see how my original comment could've caused offence, as the tone of the comment didn't come accross in writing as well as I intended), and as far as I'm concerned, it is up to Alien to decide whether or not to accept that appology, and whether or not my apology makes it OK.

Look, I'm not wanting to start a pissing fight or anything, just defending my corner. So, rather than turning this into a shit-fight over some dumbarse comment I made, maybe we should be thinking about why this gig is taking place, eh?

I'm not being an asshole, I just think its a bit unfair to complain about when the gig was adviertised, considering that its a benefit gig for an event that only happened 2 and half weeks ago. Yes $35 does seem a tad expensive, but you have to admit it is for a good cause. Sorry if my comments caused you any offense.

It sux that it's $35 and I am sure this high price will turn a lot of kids who like the bands and want to put their money towards a good cause but can't get $35 in time. I go to shows all the time and can put money aside for gigs that I want to go to... but this one, when did it start getting advertised? This week? Maybe the end of last week?
