I'm back but I wouldn't call it work. Everyone is in that 'sweet as' mood rather than the 'give me my order now before I ripp your fucking head off' mood, I really prefer the former.
Funny that. Yesterday I slept in - holiday, the day before the same thing..and today I just happened to wake up at 6am like usual!! Thats quite disturbing knowing that the frame of mind is really into getting back into mode. Another year of hard work & contribution to society. Good things happen to good workers.
I was supposed to go back today, but got er distracted. I got up this morning, and after the first or second cup of coffee had decided to go do some biking on the central otago rail trail. great day up there. that reminds me, really ought to apply for that leave, haha.
worked through, but things were so quiet it was just like being at home, had a sofa here in reception, Plasma, DVD player, internet, and plenty to eat and drink, it's a bit of a shock having people back in and having to put the sofa back into the studio .. come to think of it, I'm not too bad off as I've only really lost a sofa and have a few more people around, everything else is pretty much on a daily basis .. life is hard ..
i woke up at 7.45am New Years Day.....strange as it was the 1st (and maybe the last) friday night in a while id remain sober or not drugged up. in the words of Sir Paul McCartney .....Its just another Day
Finished work on Dec 22nd .. .back 14th january ... only costing 8 days annual leave. I like working for ppl who's workplace has a 3-week, non-optional christmas shut down!
I shouldn't complain since this is my first week of work after 3 weeks off... but I'm bloody tired and it doesn't look like i'll be getting more than a half day off (to go work at my other job) in the next 2 and a half weeks, cause everyone else is taking their annual leave.
bring on the day I get a nice cushy office job and don't have to deal with public service crap.
Its a bit late, but yeah, the 5th was my first day back at work, and unlike most places, it was hell. Shelved 14 full trolly loads of books (at least), tonnes of people, lotsa issues and returns.
