The Tsunami that may claim as many as 100,000 lives, salt much earth rendering it uncapable of growing crops and leave millions homeless and exposed to illnessess and an even a possible epademic.
so apart from aussie, everyone offers small amounts of help and money. Should we being doing more or just hang about in our apathy and think wow, how terrible, my heart goes out to them... but I'm not going to give anything to them, I'm not going to physically do anything for them my self though. I'm not judging anyone for this attitude, I'm no different, just maybe a little more cynical to those who want me to have a big fat cry or something. Sure this is a horrible event, and sudden, but we've wiped all the other mass problems in the world under the rug, or the droubt stricken countries, millions of people dying of hunger, basic medical problems, HIV, civil wars, genocide, criminal wars.
anyway, I like the idea of turning the sri lankan cricket tour into a bennefit tour, thats good resourcing.
anyone else wishing to share thoughts, or are you all on holiday? hopefully not in south east asia.
