I for one happen to like 48 May's music! I'm sure all artists have some musicial influences from those that inspired them, it is one of the things that helps shapes a person into who they are and what they are about..Who is Bowling for soup anyway?..Is that the band that sings that 1985 song (I don't know what its called)? I think that 48 May is unique in the sense that they have taken music, and have made it into something enjoyable and fun to listen to and to experience live(in my opinion) for kiwis (and for anybody else) to enjoy.48 May rocks I think we should appreciate them! Big ups to 48 May . You go boys!xox.

As much as I hate to defend 48 May, I wonder whether they are consiously ripping off bowling for soup, whether its just a coincidence. I'm sure most bands have jammed on the "greatest idea in the world", only to find that another band already thought of that idea already(I know us Vocoders have had that happen to us at least once). Its almost inevitable these days, considering that A) rock music has been around for 40 odd years and B) commercial radio is limited in the format of songs its prepared to play(and this the market 48 May are aiming at).

Theres only so many combinations of chords for songs, that you can make on the guitar. People have been using those scales and chords for over a 100 years, heaps of songs sound like other songs, big deal. They have a great sound and there out there doing it, so more power to them!

DOWNLOAD THE SONG! They are exactly the same, you can't tell me that it was an accident!
You guys should be shot for it, but in a way you've kind of shot yourselves by copying a song that takes the piss out of exactly what you do! It's actually quite funny =) Even the lyrics are similar!
Its always a disappointment to see NZonair throwing money at something that is about as un-new zealand and unoriginal as you can get....

All i can say is DOWNLOAD PUNK ROCK 101 and have a listen....sheeesh it's a crime.
