I saw Mary Staple play at The Big Day Out a few years back and they absolutely RAWKED!! These guys need to be heard. When will NZ figure out that this is the future of NZ music. They can actually play their instruments and not piss around like a lot of the poppy crap NZ insists on accepting as talent!! If you want to know what I'm talking about listen to Mary Staple, Pharmacy, Nose Bleed, Subtract.....The future of NZ music!

Mingo, I knew you'd sum it up. My feelings were strangely enough very similar on first listen, but then I seriously found something much much more rewarding in the song. Now ithe older version is a distant memory, but perhaps I still do miss the souring wall of guitars though... they are still mixing and the Labs video is progressing well...
