News have reached these far away shores that the lovely King Loser have reformed and are touring. Who currently is in King Loser? Are there any recordings in the works? Has Chris Heazlewood become a nice guy?
I think Celia's living back in Dunedin these days? I saw here at Ghost Clubs' show at Arc, and she also heckled my old band Palace of Wisdom at a show here in Chch last year...
Celia's been singing with the Puddle again, at least a couple of months ago she was, end of last year? which is cool cos 'Songs for Emily Valentine' got re-recorded and re-released.
not that 'Emily Valentine' was actually re-recorded for it's new release, which was kinda the first official release anyway ... beyond the heavy bootlegging .... it's a damn fine album.
Didn't make it to the show unfortunately, so cannot confirm whether Heazlewood performed or not. Underground Bar is underneath the London Bar, in central Auckland.
was it the drummer from king loser drumming for will oldham when he was last here?
i was tryna say to him at that gig "were you in king loser" but all that came out was " you were in that band future stupid eh?" he didn't look particlularly impressed
