Cheer Up Charlie

This might well be something we've done before, but I'm putting together a playlist of Really Really Happy Songs for my iPod, cos I've been miserable lately (oh the pain of being a poor upper middle class white girl) and I'm sure that listening to Jeff Buckley et all ain't helping, so I'm wondering: what songs make you happy? What should I hunt down and add?

I'm starting out with 'Hey Little', 'The Shining' by Badly Drawn Boy, and 'Heaven Tonight' by Hole. Your thoughts and contributions please?

Forums: The Bar,

Foo Fighters - Big Me, Next Year, Everlong
Weezer - Buddy Holly
anything from Goldenhorse

plus Weezer - Island In The Sun

If I could, I'd put the video for 'Island in the Sun' on mute on my iPod.

¿the animal vers i guess?

Well I don't like Weezer at all, but I do like baby lions! And baby tigers! And baby bears, oh my!

herbie hancock does so have a sense of humour !

'It's over now' by the LA guns, 'Top of the world', 'Dance the night away', 'Can't stop lovin you'- Van Halen, 'You and I', - Queen, 'Since you been gone'- Rainbow, 'Don't take it out on me'- Michael Schenker Group, 'Life by the drop'- Stevie Ray Vaughan,'Green tinted sixties mind', 'Mister Gone'- mr Big, 'Pursuit of Happiness' - Nuno Bettencourt, 'When I first kissed you'- Extreme.
Things that make me happy. However the thought comes to mind that it is because I remember where I was when I first heard them as much as the music itself. Berry Gordy said that Music is the soundtrack of our lives so the question should be 'What were you listening to when you were last deleriously happy?'
