These guys rock!! Experienced them when they were in Chch supporting Shihad during Orientation earlier this year. Bring them back to the South Island!! It would be excellent to see them in a venue like the Southlander.

Gene is all better now after a nasty kidney infection that left him in hospital for a week. However I'm sure he is still open to sympatheitc emails, gifts and donations of course!

this year a family friend asked me if i wanted to go to his friend's band's concert and i figured since i didnt know him too well and i had other plans i didnt go..........yesterday i saw 'funny boy' on tv and the guy that asked me to go to the concert was in it....seems that his friend's band happened to be called rubicon.....i shall not state the obvious way i feel right now....

Saw Rubicon being interviewed on TV2's SPACE the other week.. was a bit disappointed beause I was waiting to hear what Gene Bennett had to say but the presenters seemed to be ignoring him.. also Gene was left out of the frame for a lot of the interview.. the music still sounded awesome though.

Saw Rubicon at the Indigo last night.
Good gig although there were a few technical probs...
e.g. if hit hard the drums would slip making it $#*! difficult. One punter actually held the them in place until a hammer, nails and a piece of 2 by 4 could be found.

I just have to say that last night I saw Rubicon at the henderson big top and they went off!!! It would have been sooooooo much betta without all the teenyboppers!! But anyways, you guys are awesome live and it was definitely worth the money!!! Oh yes and Jon was looking damn sexy as always!!!

I have to agree with Chelsea that the gig at the Big Top last night was wicked! There weren't many people there which was a shame and of those that were many were just annoying little teenyboppers but apart from that it was a very good show by all bands: Slim, Canvas, Te Huva and of cousre Rubicon, they rock!

Wot really annoyed me about the teenyboppers was that the couldnt handle all the pushing etc that goes with being right at the front and they were getting a bit angus. If you cant handle it then stay out!!

As for the BDO i dunno - is it on the 18 of January?

YEa HE is and i agree with you when anyone tried to get the the front they would shove them and then just give them the evils so if any of them aRE here, you got to learn to share guys.

And about the BDO I know Rubicon, Zed, Good Charlotte, Betchadupa, but im not too sure about the others, but hope i helped.

Cheers for the BDO info, I think the official list comes out sometime within the next month, not too sure.

That Aja dude was funny, I was talking to him after the show and he seemed pretty cool, I asked him if they had an EP out and he just laughed, he said that they still need to get their sh*t together.

I was also chatting with Rubicon and they're cool as well.

I can't wait for the big day out.

Yeah that F***n secuity guard made us leave at about 11:10 so I waited until 11:15 and he went home so I just walked right on in up to the band's room and called out Aja and he got me a poster. Then Rubicon came out and was signing autographs and stuff so I got them to sign my poster but told Jon not to do any hearts like he was on the girls poster, lol. Instead he drew devil horns on his head! Also he gave me some free coke, Sweet! Then Paul was hugging some girls goodbye and then he went to leave so I said "hey Paul!" 'cos I wanted to talk to him and he turned around and TRIED to give me a hug! DODGY!!!! Then I was talking to him about an article that I had read that said some things about him that weren't very nice but he said that they had made it all up and had never even spoken to him, stink eh?
Anyway Chelsea, you should have waited a bit longer too see them but nevermind.
Erin, I must have seen you if you were there talking to the band, what were you wearing? I was wearing a blue adidas t-shirt.

Erin: Very Important - are you 100% sure that Good Charlotte will be at the BDO, if they do go, it will kick some serious @$$!

Also I really really really want the Offspring to come, 'cos they came in '95 & '97 but it's not very likely.
Oh Well at least we definately know that Rubicon are going so that should be good.
