ok, a bands playing in a post office??!! i don't get it. don't bands play in bars or practice rooms anymore? still nice song. i wish video directors would think outside the square a little bit.
Just got back from Slim gig at indigo. It was LOUD but luckily I went prepared with earplugs so tonight I can sleep without the sound of a million tv screens ringing through my head. Slim rule. They write some of the best punkrockpop songs around imho. They played a tight gig and invited everyone to come and see their 20mins of fame with Live and Stabbing Westward tomorrow at 7:30pm. The only downer was the epilectic fit inducing lighting that managed to light the crowd never the band. Maybe next time they visit wellies they'd be better suited to Valve? I'd like to see that. and I'll eagerly pay my 10 bucks to see them again soon.
Freakin great set by Slim at the LIve gig. I love watching NZ bands opening for overseas acts and then kicking arse. Well done lads. Live were awesome too, and is was ACE to see Stabbing Westwood uptown at Indigo afterwards!! Oohhh! Rockstars!!
Apparently the frontman from Slim called "Just" by Radiohead "You do it to yourself"....TWICE.
Their music is good, but this kind of a crime against music is unforgivable, sorry but you don't muck up Radiohead song names.....unless you are some sort of music loving FAKE.
This weekend @ westpac trust stadium with Deluxeboy and Goodshirt and Clarke too apparently...$12 on the door or score free tickets from the Channel Z jeep. Starts at about 10am

I saw Slim at the OUSA Orientation week last weekend. I only went to see fur patrol. But Slim definately rocked. First time I had seen them. So much energy oozed off them and into the crowd. We were up in the front row but Slim's loyal fans 'moshed' us to pieces...yay slim

The whole section in Real World that starts off 'Hey Yeah, step in to line' and from Rise Up, the line that sounds like 'Got friends slip away' or something, and the actual 'this song you <?> rise up' part.

I think the original may be the first track on the Brat compilation. Not entirely sure if thats the version your after or if it is different than the album version but it came out well before the album release.
