Track of the Minute?

what have you been playing heaps recently ?

Muse - Hysteria

Forums: The Bar,

the mighty diamonds- pass the kouchie

nope. i only use two forums. nzm & gameplanet.

I find it pretty funny that a song about passing joints became a kids' novelty hit in the 80s.

When I was in London I went to a little record store rammed with Jamaican vinyl. They had the Mighty Diamonds' first album. Of course I decided not to buy it and when I realised my mistake and went back it was already gone. Hooray.

i always thought their otheer stuff was a bit weak- like a drippy version of 2 7s clash- 1 of my students found my 12" single of this tho- i think its their 1 track i really rate

Pretty much anything by Blonde Redhead that I can get my hands on, but in particular...

Blonde Redhead - Young Neil

(did you steal this from picnicbythemotorway's forum?)

that post under lena o is meant to be a reply to this. silly me

Trinity roots - the dream

Come Live with Me - Marvin Gaye ( from the album, 'I want You')

been listening to this for a while

Trouble with Marvin Gaye is that, while he's writing these buetiful tunes he's almost always singing about one thing.... in a very forthright manner....

¿isnt that what everyone does?- ¿just not so forthright?

Birthday - Junior Boys.

This is so nice. You can listen to it on their label's site.

i quite like this, in fact i saw this post only two minutes after a friend told me he'd just bought some of their stuff and i'd like it.

It's grown on me. Heard about it via word of mouth from a friend and wasn't particularly excited on first listen, but have got more and more into them, particularly this tune.

Aside formt he new degrees.K mini-album Children of the night sky.
I've been loving the new song by Kings Of Convenience called Misread - i you haven't hear it go to the website below

http://www.fs1.co.uk/ecard/kings/ ]

it's soooo lovely - the whole album is beautiful... can't stop listening to it.

Erlend Øye, the singer from the Kings of Convenience, did an album called 'Unrest' that I reckon is great. Seems no one else liked it, cos I got it cheap at Real Groovy. He travelled round meeting up and working with different producers in Europe and North America, so each track is kinda different, although most of it has a bit of an 80s synth pop vibe.

His DJ Kicks album that came out recently is pretty good too if you like house. Heard it in a bar on Friday night and it went down really well compared to your usual aural wallpaper. I get goosebumps when he sings the Smiths' 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out' over an instrumental of Royksøpp's 'Poor Leno'.

Muse - Hysteria

I don't know how the chorus goes though.... so I just play the intro/verse bits and then I stop and play something else.

its even better if you stop the song before the intro

i wish it was bitch kittys vers of owner of a lonely heart- ¿anyone know where i can find a copy of this?

there's a solitary mp3 on the soulseek network but you'll have to wait till the guy is online
failing that,

Architecture In Helsinki - Fingers Crossed
One of the most beautiful albums I've heard

Yeah, Architecture in Helsinki are great.

Dresden Dolls - Girl Anachranism

the video for that is awesome.

Everything Trinity Roots is absolutely amazing right now. I can't believe how amazing the concert was!!! Aotearoa is a beautiful track, especially for only 2 chords...

The killers - Mr Brightside
Sparta - Breaking the Broken & When Oceana Sleeps

Probably my favourite at the moment, Death Cab for Cutie's Transatlanticism. Im honestly not deliberately trying to be an indie-nerd.

That doesn't make much sense taken in isolation, also really into Engine Down at the moment too.

SJD - Down a Hole

and most other tracks I hear just before I leave for work in the morning... there can only be one

Some Regulate by Warren G..old skool classics..
