Ticketmaster is introducing online ticket auctions for the first time in Australia and NZ for next January's tour by the reformed Police.Well-to-do fans will have the opportunity to bid on premium seat tickets for the 30th Anniversary tour through a series of event-authorised online auctions, scheduled to begin at 9am on Saturday 21 July.
The Auckland gig is scheduled for Western Springs Stadium in Auckland on 19 January 2008.Tickets for The Police Live in Concert dates in New Zealand go on sale to the general public beginning Monday 30 July online at www.ticketmaster.co.nz

Sounds a lot like "win for Ticketmaster" too - allowing them to cash in on the auction prices some of these tickets are going for. I'd be interested to see what "auction management fees" get slapped on top again for these particular tickets, and what percentage of the auction sale gets to the performer in the end.
