Andrew Fagan

Andrew Fagan is a Songwriter/Singer/Guitarist/Poet/Sailor most notably in 80's Pop band The Mockers



Biography

Along with Gary Curtis, Fagan formed The Ambitious Vegetables the pre-cursor to the highly successful band The Mockers, Following The Mockers demise he played in a band called LIG between 1995 and 2002 while living with long-time partner Karen Hay in a houseboat on the Thames.
Fagan is also an avid sailor spending long periods alone at sea and acquiring 2 world records (Smallest Yacht to circumnavigate NZ and cross the Tasman Sea). He has also written four collections of poetry and a book called Swirly World: The Solo Voyages which covers his time at sea.
Andrew is currently working on material for his first solo album, and lives in Auckland with long-time partner, (TV/Radio presenter) Karen Hay and their 2 sons. He and Hay host the 4-6pm drive show on Kiwi FM.



Trivia

Andrew Fagan won Top Male Vocalist of the Year in the 1985 RIANZ Awards.
Andrew Fagan is the record holder for smallest yacht to circumnavigate NZ and record holder for smallest yacht to cross Trans-Tasman.
