Weta was a Wellington rock band. They released several classic tracks across several compilations, and after moving to Melbourne, they released their debut album Geographica.

Tracks such as Got The Ju and Calling On are highly regarded by rock and indie-rock fans alike.

Weta supported Shihad many times, most notably on 2000s General Electric Tour with fellow Wellington-come-Melbourne based band Fur Patrol.
