Svelte was formed by two ex-Supergroove members, Tim Stewart and Ben Sciascia with drummer Jamie Woolright - son of legendary New Zealand bass player Paul Woolright.

The three piece have kept a low profile up until now, writing, rehearsing and playing the odd show in Auckland & Wellington. The band have performed live on National Radio's The Music Mix and played with bands such as The Exponents, Odessa, The Bads and Die! Die! Die! Svelte are currently working on their 6 track debut EP.
