In the studio, SJD is essentially one man, Sean James Donnelly, from Auckland. His recorded work combines detailed electronic production work with folk and rock songwriting traditions. Live, there is a full SJD band who play the music live in a more traditional rock format.
History
SJD began as a solo project, named from the initials of the man behind it.
Outside writing music for his own projects, Sean has been playing bass with Don McGlashan and wrote the song I Will Not Let You Down on Don's Warm Hand.
