JCK are a haberdash rap/urban/hip-hop group.
History
JCK started in 2002 as JCK and the dirty ho bags. Which they later shortned to JCK.
In 2004 JCK were signed to indie label Pagan records. The group started out entering music competitions with local urban radio stations which gave them a sizeable amount of radio airplay and the first tastes of recognition. Soon after, they were successful in recieving funding from New Zealand on Air. They recorded their debut single Freak in the club (JCK song) with an accompanying music video. They are in the process of releasing their first album titled JCK 5 year anniversary which is currently available digitaly and will soon be in record stores. They are also filming the video for their follow up single and opening track on the album 'Spirit x' in September 2007. Like a virus a colaboration with alternatine rapper The Robba saw the music video playing on ALt T.V and C4 homegrown in July-August 2007.

JCK describe their style as haberdash rap, because although they borrow heavily from hip hop culture they have an equal afinity with funk, soul, pop, rock and industrial music, all elements blend to create their unique sound.
