5th Threat is a punk band from New Zealand

History

Rapata and Jamie had been long time friends and when in search for a drummer they were introduced to a younger kid whom Rapata used to terrorize at high school. Initially Chris was in three bands already and was hesitant to join, after their first jam how ever he was intrigued by the speed and urgency of this alien sound. A few more jams and he would be hooked.

Formed in 2000 with influences from bands such as the Ramones and Rancid the threat are constantly writing songs telling stories from personal experiences of triumph, loss and hate while maintaining steady gigs around the country.

The band are currently putting together some songs for a debut release in the near future.

New guitarist Matt is formally from Cheap for a Reason.
