4ManBob

4ManBob is a ska group from Christchurch.

History

4ManBob formed in March 2001, the main motivating factor at the time being to fill a perceived void in the New Zealand music scene. The band wanted to create and maintain a sound and a live show that would give audiences the best time of their lives. Thus 4ManBob was born!

The band has deliberately gone for a crossover sound, combining rock anthems with a horn frontline to produce an original and exciting vibe.

4ManBob regularly packs out venues in and around their hometown of Christchurch, New Zealand, and as a result of extensive touring through the rest of the country, is recruiting a loyal national following. They have had the opportunity to be involved with some high-profile events, including the Christchurch Winter Carnival where they played alongside award-winning New Zealand artists Che Fu & The Krates. They also toured with True Colours, a national band roadshow in mid 2003, involving, among others, Blindspott, Salmonella Dub and 8 Foot Sativa. 4ManBob is fast developing a reputation for their intense but fun live show and their original and energetic sound.
