Hi,
I've heard a song on an Air New Zealand flight (on the Moving Map) recently, and hope someone will be able to tell me the title and artist.
Think the song may be called 'Stay'. Other lyrics include:
It was a long drive home, even longer to go;
the end is all i can see;
You go, I go, hey we're falling away;
I know there isnt a lot to go on, but if anyone can help it would be great

Having moved to Sydney Australia in 2007, former Christchurch modern rock band Phyllasoma had taken some time out from
playing live to write a new album. After producing another 10 new tracks to add to their already solid collection Phyllasoma are
now back performing concerts around Australia, New Zealand and working in conjunction with an Australian platinum selling
artist, BJ Caruana, on recording early this December before heading off Europe in the New Year.
Literally one day out of the studio, Phyllasoma kick off the tour at the Dux de Lux 17th December and finishing off with an
expected capacity crowd, Opening the upstairs at the Esplanade Tavern, New Brighton Christchurch for the New Year Eve Beach
Party Show.

"How New Zealanders stopped an unfair copyright law (`Kiwiright` documentary released)."
Hi folks, I've posted a few times about this and I thought there might be interest in this new documentary we've released today.
http://creativefreedom.org.nz/story.html?id=442
Here's the press release,
International media conglomerates trying to capture popular culture and to
take away our right to internet access didn’t reckon on the power of individuals
standing up to be counted.
Now a new short documentary, Kiwiright, by Josh Davidow charts the course of
the 2009 Internet Blackout that made news around the world and stopped a
law in its tracks.
Kiwiright tells the story of the Internet Blackout, spearheaded by the Creative
Freedom Foundation. Hundreds of thousands of people protested against the
controversial law change, Section 92A of the Copyright Amendment Act, that
would allow copyright holders to seek disconnection of Internet users’ accounts
simply on accusation of a breach of copyright law without a trial.
The campaign made waves worldwide and the uproar led to newly elected
Prime Minister John Key suspending that section of the law. He described the
law as “draconian” while noting that "If New Zealand was to sign a free-trade
agreement with America for instance, we would need an equivalent of Section
92A".
Kiwiright takes a look at how New Zealand copyright law is dictated by foreign
corporations, with a Free Trade Agreement carrot dangled in front of
bureaucrats if they gave the rights holders the disconnection stick.
Davidow says: “The Internet is a civil right these days, no different to having
phone, TV and postal service. Yet, the draconian law would see people
disconnected for being accused of accessing files that may or may not be
under copyright.”
The documentary features interviews with politicians, artists and technologists,
explaining the deeper issues around the copyright controversy.
Kiwiright can be viewed on the web at http://www.kiwiright.com.
Quotes from Kiwiright:
Creative Freedom Foundation co-founder Bronwyn Holloway-Smith: “I was
really concerned that the people pushing for this law were claiming to
represent artists, but really they had other corporate interests in mind.”
Hon Peter Dunne, leader of United Future and Revenue Minister: “... I can
certainly see that there would be people saying ‘better not do that, we don’t
want go there, because we don’t want to upset the USA.’ Not because we’re
timid little Kiwis but because our bigger objective is getting this free trade
agreement.”
Tech journalist Juha Saarinen: “New Zealand is a testing ground for all these
weird things...We’re giving a whole lot of power to the corporations that don’t
have the public good as their interest.”
Public screenings of Kiwiright are planned for December, in Auckland and
Wellington – please go to www.facebook.com/kiwiright for dates, times and
further details.

Aum consists of Jeremy Graham and Darryl Turner, two budding local producers from Hamilton - New Zealand, who have been making and playing tunes together sine the start of 2008. The Aum sound ranges from Dub and Ambient, to Dubstep and Drum & Bass, entirely composed, performed and produced by the two. This same ethos is carried over into Aums live performances where their original tracks are cut up, re-mixed and re-arranged to create a cross genre experience, including live elements, blurring the lines between musical performance and DJ style mixing.
Before they became Aum, the two producers had their roots imbedded in Psychedelic-Dub Rock, playing Guitar and Bass in a band together for a year. While embarking on seperate musical education endevours both gaining qualifications in Music Production, the two were to meet up again at the beginning of 08 and eventually started producing tunes together and performing live.
2009 has seen a massive year for Aum, featuring a tour with The Knights of the Dub Table, support slots including Optimus Gryme's album release party, playing at 'Grounded' , Wellington (which hosted 22 National and International DJs including New Zealand Dubstep Producers 'Truth' and 'Sick Cycle') as well as playing a handful of local 'Collective' gigs throughout the year.
December will see the release of Aums debut Dubstep album titled 'Aletheia', synthesised in their own studio featuring local musicians Brendon Putt on Trumpet and Xiyao Chen on Gu-Zeng (a traditional Chinese stringed instrument) and was mastered by Bjorn Arntsen at Wintec Studios, Hamilton.
In the works for 2010, Aum will be embarking on a north Island tour in support of the album and working on a remix release for The Knights of the Dub Table. On top of this, Aum will also be working on new tunes for forth coming releases including an excursion into more downbeat realms in the form of an EP, as well as continuing to work on material for their next album release.
'Aletheia' will be available in selected stores and online at www.amplifier.co.nz as MP3 downloads and CD sales. Also available through ampifier are two fresh tracks from Aum titled 'Corruption' and 'Music=Violence' which were mastered by Chris Chetland at Kog Studios in Auckland.

Hi there...
I am a 30 something female vocalist experienced in Classic Rock, doing mainly male based songs (Everything from ZZ Top to Deep Purple), as well as Funk, Pop, Jazz, Blues & Soul.
For the past 2 years I have been fronting a semi professional Classic Rock band in the Wellington region, as well as lead singing for a second Funk, Disco & Soul band. Unfortunately (due to an untimely death and a serious illness for family members of my band mates) our band has decided to split....
I am very dedicated, love my craft and am damn good at it, have all my own equipment (selection of pro Mic's, PA, etc and am willing to travel within the greater Wellington region.
I am looking to join an existing band of dedicated musicians willing to gig every week and as often as possible.
I still have a number of contacts within popular venues in the region and will happily chase down gig's.
I can even provide a professional sound engineer for gigs etc if required...
I am serious here...deadly serious

Great Band looking for a gig!
play new and older soft rock!
Kim Potter singer, songwriter & guitarist, is following in the tradition of kiwi songsmiths of the last few decades. Using a loop sampler, he plays, records, loops and stacks layer after layer of beats, riffs, hooks, melodies, harmonies and sweet curving lyrics, to arrive (usually half way through the song) at a full band arrangement... All right there, live, in front of you.
Building these shimmering layers of guitar, voice, percussion and gadgetry, the live experience is fascinating to watch, and delightful to hear. Swinging from haunting, dark folk stories to toe tapping indie guitar pop, Kim makes a lot of pretty sounds for one guy. To celebrate his significant strides as a musical artist, Kim is embarking on his first South Island Tour. His magnetic performance is absolutely essential for anyone with an appetite for hot, freshly-created live music.

Photosphere, KazaamBLAM! and DJ Spinsta playing Bar Bodega, Ghuznee Street, Wednesday December 23rd for your aural and dancing pleasure. Don't miss what could be the best $5 Christmas present you could give to yourself, or - here's a thought - to give to your nearest and dearest. They'll love you for it. You may even score. Woot. Psst - pass it along.
Photosphere are an elusive bunch, regularly debating (some would say arguing) about whether having their picture taken would destroy their careers. Luckily they choose to hide behind stonking good tunes, influenced equally by anything on Ninjatune, downbeat, dub, and drum & bass, all the while using only live instruments. Well, mostly.
kazaamBLAM! beams from outer space to inner space, revealing truths you wouldn't dare believe and shifting paradigms with mashed up electric rhapsodies, all from the relative comfort of an airtight spacesuit.
With an eclectic sound ranging from sprawling psychedelia to live mash-ups of pop trash, to densely lyrical hip hop about addiction, to the 'ultimate fate of the universe' and rip-snorting harmonised guitar solos, kazaamBLAM! is an onslaught of intense entertainment.
DJ Spinsta will be working her magic on the decks - you can catch her on Radio Active 89FM Friday's 1am- 4am.
Doors open 8pm - $5 on the door.
