Having finished their album ‘Ghost Crash’ with Bob Frisbee at the controls, Auckland three piece Frayden are set to unleash upon the Bacco Room with a stacked line-up of this city’s finest noise-pop bands. Their raw but catchy sonic boom has been pressed to vinyl – and now they’ve been expelled from the cave.

Turns out Tane got his license revoked... The news article is a scream, although the police officer seems a bit munter.
http://www.stuff.co.nz/manawatu-standard/news/2422577/Troubled-bar-slapp...
//In a decision released this week, a police officer described Bar Mode as the worst-managed premise she had seen in her 16-year career, and a supporter admitted Mr McLeay was "not the best businessman".//
//Constable Gina Atkinson said she could not understand how Mr McLeay could simultaneously serve at the bar, prepare food, provide security, check identification and fulfil his managerial obligations.//
The cops need to recruit more people with life experience...
Can you guys get the videos back on TVNZ ondemand please? Sunday mornings in bed laughing at the crazy shit on screen haven't been the same since it disappeared...

Merchants of Death are a four piece band - combining thrash, death and black metal. They mostly write their own music, but "we always love doing Metallica and Black Sabbath Covers."
Lead Guitar and Vocals: Leighton White
Drums: Jeremy Firth
Rhythm Guitar: Mike Surville
Bass Guitar: Jaykib Pattison
Merchants of Death are playing Barbarella for FREE on the 4th because along with 'Nova presents' (who promote gigs for free in Rotorua) they are hoping to reignite the flames of the metal and hard rock scene in Rotorua.
Come along and show your support of Merchants of Death and Rotorua's only metal-friendly bar, Barbarella on Saturday 4th July!
To be kept up to date with bands playing in Rotorua, keep reading the NZMetal forum and join the 'Rotorua Metal Scene' group on Facebook.
