I’m a Wellington/Porirua based 29yr old bass guitarist looking for a new or established band to play with. I’m an easy going person who likes to have fun and enjoy a beer or two while I'm playing so finding the right group of people who share a similar vibe is essential!
I have been playing on and off for about 10years and have gigged in most of the live venues in Wgtn and the South Island, I own decent gear and have my own transport.
My music interests are diverse although I really like the instrumental post rock sound (Mogwai, Sigur Ros, Jakob) although I have played in plenty of pop bands before.
My playing style and sound is bit more heavier and influenced by mainstream bands such as Tool & Muse. I could rattle off a list of bands that I like but they’re so varied that it really wouldn’t tell you anything about me, in general I’m into Funk, Dub, Surf Guitar, 80’s Pop, Hard Rock, Indie to name a few.
If you would like to get together and jam sometime feel free to email or txt me on the following

hey everyone im really disparate to open up a band, i play rhythm guitar and i wanna be in a band! im 18, student from xchurch.... music influence MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, GREEN DAY, PARAMORE, 30 SEC TO MARS and ESCAPE THE FATE
ok, im trying to figure out what happened to me last night, im a student, 20 years old and i smoke, but apart from smoke and drink i dnt do drugs, i cant even swallow tablets, but last night i went out with my house mate and as a rule we drink the same and we both know our limits and when to stop, and its usually about the same time.
so last night we was dancing and buying drinks and having a good time, flirting with a few guys and just enjoying our selfs, i remember going out for a fag just as it started snowing but i cant remember anything from that point untill i was back at home, apparently i was 'reallyy drunk' and really emotional, and propa lovey dovey with any guy and apparently i didnt drink anything else but got more and more drunk :-s i really cant remember anything though i dont even know how i gt back, and i tell you something booze never ever makes me thow up seriously never! but from about half 4till half 6 i was throwing everything up and like propa shaking!!

Hey all
Looking for a Keyboardist, Horns and bass player to join a singer/guitarist and drummer for some blues rock. Kyuss, Soundgarden mixed with Oasis and 50's blues.
Looking at just doing recording at the moment then will go into gigging when material has been produced.
We have a few demos that you can listen to on request.
Contact Tony at tony.breese@gmail.com.
People from Wellington only please.
Hey its mike here from the band double barrelled, We are a hard rock band from auckland looking for a manager. You can hear a couple of our demos on our myspace page. myspace.com/doublebarrelledtheband. Unfortunatley none of us are real buisnes heads so after giging for two years we realy need someone to help us push that side of it and talk to people we have trouble contacting. If there is anyone out there who would like to take up the challenge please feel free to contact me via my email. Medictron@hotmail.com. Cheers
I was lucky enough to have a Jansen electric (don't remember if there was ever a model name on it) in 1970. Recently, I tried to buy another one, but they seem rare as hen's teeth, so I settled for a Strat - that I'm VERY happy with. But I'd love to know more about the Jansens ...
Cheers,

We are forming a new covers band & are seeking the 4th wheel to our team. All members have experience with live playing already and have contacts for corporate gigs. Alot of our cover songs are gona have our own twist on them to sound different from those other covers bands out there. Be keen to hear from anybody that has that same sort of focus in direction as us. We eventually want to end up writing and performing originals along the way. We are North Shore based but may have to use rehearsal studios for practice. We also have contacts with recording in a studio. So if ya keen lets hear from ya. Email me at manz.l@xtra.co.nz
Cheers
Miscreant Recordings
Hi,
My name is David Edtmaier and i own & operate a home/project recording studio in Auckland which started operating full time around september 2008. It's located in a country style home on a 12 acre block with a serene view over the estuary, great spot to get away from it all and record your tracks without even being out of auckland. My aim is to get more well recorded music out there without the big studio rates. I've got a good ear, with a number of my productions/recordings achieving radio airplay, including commercial stations like the rock and ZM, and can help your band get the results you're after.
All rates include unlimited premixes/changes to the mix (no hourly rates that you might get stung with elsewhere) until the results are achieved and start at around $400 for a broadcast quality radio single (includes a week of my time). Prices vary depending on the job.
Also do killer rates on albums & EP's and have access to some of Auckland's top notch studios for lower than usual rates should you want the professional big studio edge. (email me for more info)
contact: dave@miscreantrecordings.com for enquiries/quotes... and hear some of my work with various bands at these sites: www.reverbnation.com/miscreantrecordings or www.myspace.com/miscreantrecordings ..
cheers
-Dave
