Earthquake Heart by the Dirtbombs
Latest ad: Band is The Caesars, song is Jerk It Out. It was mildly popular about five years ago, I think.
We're a band called Drivetown. Check us out at www.myspace.com/drivetown
We're in search of a bassist - we're all in our early twenties, so someone a little, er, 'younger' might make sense, but we're open to most things - so why not the age of a bassist?
In all seriousness, we've just released our first single and it is beginning to make a bit of headway. We're currently recording an album and have enough contacts and clout to ensure it gets a full commercial release. You'll be dealing with three technically proficient young men, so the ability to play your instrument in a technical, showy fashion is preferable (that just means you gotta be good at it).
What we want is someone willing to pour their blood, sweat and tears into music for the next little while and see where it takes them. We can offer long nights, crap pay, interesting conversations and a whole heap of fun.

This is a google video of freebording down a street in Napier a few years ago (2005):

Quite an awesome video clip IMHO, but what is the music track used, and who is the band?
Hope someone knows
- looking forward to a reply

I was listening to an old recording of Channel Z from February 2005, and they played this very catchy song. Sounds a lot like the Beatles influence, later power pop like the Smithereens. Male vocals and the lyrics as best I have them:
baby, you’ve got me shaking in my boots yeah
baby , you’ve got me quaking in my boots yeah
girl, oh girl, it’s alright
baby my hearts shakin like an earthquake
baby,my heart is shakin’ like an earthquake
ooh girl oh girl, it’s alright, oh oh oh oh oh oh
I’m in a state im in a panic yeah
my heart is ?? soul and its scaring me to death
I feel the ground beneath me moving
getting stronger yeah
getting stronger yeah
baby doint you know that I want you
baby don’t you know that I need you
girl, oh girl
it aint right
baby why cant you say that you love me
baby why cant you say that you love me
oh girl, oh girl its alright
its alright
its alright
it’s alright
Any ideas? I'm guessing it's a NZ band. Google hasn't given me anything nor have my song ID apps.

Back in about 99 there was a band in NZ that had a song playing on the radio which was a cover to Poison by Bardot (the aussie popstars band, like true bliss). It was a rock/heavy metal cover. Does anyone know who this band was?
Thanks
Um, your link to this topic from the frontpage is broken, as a starter. :|
Looks like this:

Some white space or a clear separator between each topic in a forum would be nice.
The link colours in the body text are very close to black - either throw in the underline standard or make them blatantly different. E.g. in the Mukuna Gig Picks bit on the sidebar there... the title links are OK I guess, but the ones in the body are lost.
Viewing in IE7 on Windows if you think it's some CSS vs. browser dumbness.
