Pretty stoked, eh! Burger Fuel had this idea to put 10c from every burger purchase during NZ Music Month into their BurgerFuel Artist Recording Fund, and award it to a deserving band. The prize pool totted up to $17,000, and this morning Surf City were announced the lucky winners. GO YOU LIL GOLDEN ANZACS!

The winner was chosen by the burger-eating public from a shortlist of 11. The other bands on the list were The Ruby Suns, Artisan Guns, The Vietnam War, Holiday With Friends, Collapsing Cities, The Whipping Cats, White Birds And Lemons, The Bengal Lights, Cut Off Your Hands and Labretta Suede & The Motel Six.
