Recording Disaster

My bandmates and I recorded our first album at Earwig studios in Birkenhead, and it was completely botched by the engineer owner of the place. he didnt understand our sound and now we are having to go to another studio and re-record many of the tracks. he was totally incapable of getting a good solid and was hopeless with the guitars as well.

We tried to direct him and communicate what we wanted but he appeared half asleep or stoned most of the time and really didnt seem to understand or care.

It was a horrible experience.

Thankfully, we have a new studio in Auckland now and the recordings are going very well. I wanted to warn people about this guy who really shoulnt even be in business. There are some real cowboys out there and hes one of them.

Forums: NZ Music,

O Yeah, I know this guy. I did some "recording" at Earwig as well, and the result just sucked bigtime. I got out of there as quick as I could!

It was like working with a deaf badger. The guy records jingles and ads and should just stick to that. he has a band as well and thinks hes better than the people who come in to record with him. but the band has gone nowhere.

Good luck metal machine and if you want to talk more just private message me.
