as for TPS, well people are often abusing me but that will not distract me from my path. In fact just this evening as I was waiting for the trusty #5 a young man in a passing car screamed at me that my trousers were on the wrong way. Upon checking I found I was not wearing any at all as I had forgotten to put them on when changing from the end of my shift. So, in fact, TPS may in fact be a handy self-correcting path, no?

-) different in many ways, Kiri performs opera, Hayley sings opera, both have the ability to sing, I think it's just a slightly different approch each has, as I said Kiri's performed in operas, something I don't think hayley has, it's abit like the beatles verses oasis, both are guitar bands both are good bands, they play music, but they're different, if the beatles could ever reform and they were playing the same night as oasis but a different venue, you had a choice to see one which one would it be ? and why ? I think Kiri's just pointing out that although they both sing opera, they are different.

I hate the media, it's nothing more for the most part but schoolgirl gossip and bitching in the guise of "reporting" on some z list celeb or racking up muck on someone, even sinking to the depths of doorstepping the grieving. What ever happend to the days when a reporter wore a trilby hat with a card saying reporter sticking out using a pencil and paper, we only got the facts once or twice a day, now it's 24/7 fill the airwaves and papers with nothing content just for the sake of filling and killing time on air. I worked for just over 3 years at rupert murdochs new international, it was the first time in my life I'd meet so many rude arrogant up their own arse .. still this is turning into a rant about media .. but what you say above is right, it's media manipulation of something that really isn't anything ..

Totally agree rope, for some reason news has now become nothing more than low brow gossip, it's more about what they can get on someone or something and fill the facts out with crap to cover more air time, news paper columns, it's not enough just to report on a murder, facts, they delve into every aspect, even reporting on autopsy results interviewing the second cousin twice removed on what a wonderfull person he/she was .. I mean none of that is news, the new is such and such has happened, this is what's going on, we have this evidence .. second cousin twice removed, sorry not interested, and we'll leave the family / victims of crime to deal with private matters on their own .. and don't even get me started on the paparzzi !!!

-) must be others are thinking the same type of thing, though I'm always sus when it comes to people in politics getting involved, it's the thin edge of a wedge maybe of sensorship.

As for the pap .. I've been dealing with them from my days at news international .. so that means almost 19 years as such, back then they would come upto the main gate in their cars flashing their photographers press card and at times demanding to be let into the plant as they had " the photo of the day " and the paper wouldn't sell if they didn't get that front page picture in on time .. aload of bollocks !! mind you in this day and age they'll just send it from their computers. I'm kinda lucky when it comes to work, we have a great camera system .. well I say that, one of my main camera's being mended at the mo, back soon I hope, and we have an electric gate. I tend to pick up the paps when they park up outside, kinda developed a sixth sense over the years, I tend to get the camera on them and wait till I see them with their camera, just to confirm to me they are paps, then I tip off anyone we have in, they can then decide what they want to do, we have a plan b when it comes to getting people out :-) ..worst I saw tho was when Micheal Jackson came in, they were mixing in studio 2 and he came in to have a playback, I had a call he was 5 mins away, I opened the gate for him to drive in, he hadn't even got out the car, we had maybe 6 paps at the fence within seconds of him arriving, they just followed his cars, by the time he left the fence was full of them .. not nice for the guy I'm sure. I once filmed one pap, we had a band in who's lead singer hates the paps, I think if you can prove that someones following you and can get evidence .. I think three separate incidences in one day you can lodge a complaint of harrassment, so this guy had a video camera, he came up and said Glen, can you go over and film that guy in the car, you should have seen his face as the tables were turned :-) and just last week one of our regular clients was saying there's two paps who have made it their lifes misson to snap him .. again I always tip our clients off .. we've done decoys too :-) .. I hate paps and gutter press ....
