I'm the sort of chump who pays attention to record breakers and all sorts of sporting trivia so it was with no little interest that I viewed the Australia vs India test from Sydney.
and I feel that India were mightily screwed out of a result. Which, considering the state of our national team may sound remarkably like winging and crying but both the appalling quality of the decisions that went consistently against India and the almost complete lack of "Sportsmanship" shown by certain members of the Australian team I can't really feel to confident in congratulating them on "16 in a row".
if you nick one and don't walk then badmouth the umpire when you cop a bad one 40 runs later, you are a fuckwit.
don't claim catches that bounce in front of you
don't appeal for catches when you know the bat was 2 3/4 km's away from the ball
and if you wish to tell the match referee about sledging just remember what side you play for and the nation you represent with it's proud traditions of racial equality and tolerance.
on a lighter note, todays bastion of Independent thought, the Christchurch Press has Simon Doull described as "NZ Cricket Legend"... which may provoke some comment or at least laughter. how about Richard de Groen?
