Where to join a band in Auckland?

hi,i'm a student from Taiwan,and major in percussion.
i'll go to NZ next year with working holiday visa.
planning to stay in Auckland for few monthes or longer.
if there have some student's band intrested for drfferent country's music from Taiwan or need a percussion,just txt messages.
and,anyone can share about music in ZN with me?
its really helpful for meeting a different culture.
