Mokomoko - Carol Storey

Carol Storey is a composer, singer and acoustic guitarist based in the Bay Of Plenty. 2007 sees the release of her debut album
Mokomoko, ten gentle contemporary Maori language songs backed by notable musicians.

Mokomoko, steeped in the narratives of her iwi (tribe) Te Whakatohea, is a tribute to Carols great great grand father who was
wrongfully executed by the Crown 17 May 1866, exhumed from Mt Eden prison and taken home to Makeo at Opotiki in 1989.
The Mokomoko whanau received a pardon from the crown in 1992
